Maternal Earth is dedicated to strengthening health access and education to women across the lifespan and globe.
Ninety-nine percent of maternal deaths occur in the developing world, where access to health care and education is severely lacking. Along with the thousands of women who lose their lives many more will suffer from short and long term disabilities. Most of these deaths and disabilities could be prevented if the expectant mother received proper prenatal and post natal care, and had a trained medical professional present during delivery. Maternal Earth is working with these communities to create simple interventions that will have a sustainable result, empowering women to help create a better community for themselves and their family.
Maternal health is not just the responsibility of women; it is the responsibility of everyone. Healthy mothers will create healthy communities.
